Community Service Activities

Tennessee Valley Consistory No. 160 (TVC No. 160) engages in various community service activities including youth programs, scholarships, meals, neighborhood cleanups, and church assistance.

Adopt-a-Mile

TVC No. 160 has adopted Medaris Road in Huntsville, AL. Frequent dates are scheduled throughout the year to canvas this street from end-to-end for trash collection.

Calvin Miller II Scholarship

The Calvin Miller II Scholarship was established in the name of one of our distinguished members. Each year, TVC No. 160 awards a $1000 scholarship to a deserving student.

Community Awareness for Youth (CAFY) is an annual program, managed by the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, for students ages 12-18 in Huntsville Madison County that seeks to provide youth with the necessary tools for success into adulthood. No. 160 supported this event on July 13, 2024.

Gift of Love

"Gift of Love" was coined by one of our members who is very passionate about giving. Gift of Love is a fund that we have established that provides different types of gifts to the homeless, schools, churches, firefighters, law enforcement, youth, and other citizens throughout the community.

Manna House

Manna House is the food distribution program of the Huntsville Dream Center, a 501(c)(3) public charity. We are volunteers serving our community to meet the needs of those experiencing difficult situations. TVC No. 160 supports the Manna House by taking care of landscaping tasks.

Meadow Hills Initiative

The Meadow Hills Initiative is a program in Huntsville dedicated to providing needed services to the community to assist with enhancing the quality of their lives. TVC No 160 has been supporting this program for several years and providing different levels of community support.

ShowerUp Huntsville

ShowerUp is an initiative in Huntsville that provides mobile showers and personal care to people in need, such as the homeless. TVC No. 160 has participated in this initiative.

Solomon's Full Gospel Church

TVC No. 160 assists the Church with setting up their platform for serving food to families in need. This assistance has occurred on several occasions throughout the year.
